GOLDEN ABC (GABC) continues to help the nation march forward to a safer tomorrow with vaccination drives for communities of its operational bases in Quezon City (QC) and Cebu, where thousands of vaccine doses were donated to support the cities’ on-going vaccination efforts.
In attendance during the Quezon City Government turnover were Mayor Joy Belmonte, City Health Department Head Dr. Esperanza Anita Escaño-Arias, COVID Vaccine Medical Coordinator Dr. Ma. Lourdes E. Eleria, GABC Vice President for Human Capital Management Ted Belza Jr., HRAD Director Jovie Anne Monsalud, and Corporate Affairs Manager Christina Yap-Bardos.
For the Cebu drive, GABC partnered with LH Foundation, Inc. – the philanthropic arm of the LH Paragon Group of Companies, GABC’s holdings company – to turn over and distribute the vaccine doses among the highly urbanized cities of Cebu. Present to receive the donation were Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Christina Giango for the Province of Cebu; Cebu City Acting Mayor Mike Rama, wtih EOC Deputy Chief Implementer Joel Garganera, Councillor Atty Joy Pesquera, Cebu City Health Department Head Dr. Jeffrey Ibones and CCPO Pol. Col. Josefino Ligan; Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes with City Health Officers Dr. Dominga Obenza, Dr. Debra Catulong, Dr. Ligaya Dargantes and lawyer Ebenezer Daryl Manzano from the Mandaue Vaccine Operations Center; Mayor Joannes Alegado with Municipal Health Officers Dr. Fe Eleanor Pardillo and Dr. Maj Balbutin of the Municipality of Consolacion; Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas; Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan, and LH Foundation Inc.’s Head of Legal and Compliance lawyer Karen Gaviola-Climaco and Head of Corporate Communications Frances Alfafara, in behalf of the LH Paragon Group and GOLDEN ABC Inc. (Penshoppe).
“All of our efforts under the #GABCGotYourVacc campaign lead to what we believe our nation needs the most: a future that is safe and immune from the threats of this pandemic. It is our honor and privilege to have the means and the partners to help make that happen,” said GABC Chairman and CEO Mr. Bernie Liu.
Other projects carried out under the campaign include GABC’s in-house vaccination program covering employees from its brands Penshoppe, OXGN, ForMe, Memo, Regatta, and BOCU, dependents, business suppliers, and community partners; and the funding of the medical support during the Ayala Malls Cloverleaf rollout.
