In response to the urgent need for Temporary Treatment Monitoring and Isolation Facilities (TTMF) to help augment Cebu’s healthcare capacity in the face of the ongoing Covid-19 surge, LH Foundation Inc. (LHFI), a member of the Bayanihan Cebu Inc. Public-Private Partnership, has voluntarily completed the construction and donation of the modular partitions, furnishings and equipment for the IEC Covid Treatment Center (IEC-CTC) located at the IC3 Convention Center property of the Cebu Archdiocese, to provide medical care and assistance for asymptomatic, mild and moderate Covid-19 patients.
The 120-bed capacity IEC Covid Treatment Center (IEC-CTC) is a multi-party collaboration, managed and operated by the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) with the support of the Cebu City Government, in cooperation with the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV), the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Diseases – Visayas (IATF-Visayas), the Department of Health – Region 7 (DOH-7) and volunteer Private Sector partners from February 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
With the expeditious support and mobilization of LH Foundation Inc., the IEC-CTC is now available for immediate activation to serve Covid-19 patients in need of medical care and isolation assistance, especially for those whose homes may not be suitable for home isolation due to damages caused by the recent typhoon.
