LH Foundation, Inc. Extends Support to First Batch of Beneficiaries for The Norma Liu Religious Formation Program

ROME,ITALY—-LH Foundation Inc. is pleased to share that since August 2024, the first batch of qualified beneficiaries for the Norma Liu Religious Formation Program in collaboration with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ Episcopal Commission on Pontificio Collegio Filippino (CBCP-EPCF) have commenced their advanced spiritual formation and further studies in Rome for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

Forming part of three key programs launched on the 60th Founding Anniversary of its holding company, the LH Paragon Group, the Norma Liu Religious Formation Program will provide financial support to selected qualified religious scholars during their two-to-three year residency at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino (PCF) in Rome as they pursue further studies in the different educational and formation institutions in Rome, Italy. 

For its pilot Batch for the Academic Year 2024-2025, the Norma Liu Religious Formation Steering and Selection Committee has approved and selected ten (10) qualified priest-scholars from ten (10) Dioceses across the country, duly endorsed by their respective Bishops.

Last November 10, 2024, a Thanksgiving Mass and fellowship gathering with LH Foundation Inc.’s representatives was held at the Pontificio Collegio Filipino. During the gathering, Fr. Jose Quilongquilong, S.J. shared the story of the Group’s Founders, Dame Norma Liu and the late Knight Leo Lim Liu, their spiritual conversion in the 1960’s and how they grew their family and their businesses together through the years.

In response, LH Foundation Inc. President Mr. Edmun Liu shares, “This is our modest way of continuing the legacy of our Founders, and we are grateful for this opportunity to continue serving our beloved Mother Church, who continues to impact the lives of so many of our brothers and sisters.”

LH Foundation Inc. President Mr. Edmun H. Liu thanks all the beneficiaries and prays for their continued success in their studies as they fulfill their mission of being faithful steward and future leaders of the Church.

In a fellowship lunch following the Holy Mass, Mr. Liu further expressed his gratitude and best wishes for the program’s beneficiaries, saying, “We are grateful for all your hard work, sacrifice and dedication and we pray for your continued success in your advanced studies as you faithfully fulfill your mission, having been handpicked by your respective Bishops, to become future leaders of our Philippine Church someday.”

Through the Norma Liu Religious Formation Program, LH Foundation aims to continue the mission of the Group’s Founders, of being faithful stewards and servant-leaders, helping more communities to grow in their faith by bringing more people closer to the Church and creating meaningful change that impacts lives across generations.
