While local and national government offices are allocating majority of their resources to quell the pandemic as well as to keep our nation afloat amidst the quarantine, many individuals and establishments from the private sector have also done their part to aid in the efforts against COVID-19. A big part of this effort involves supporting the frontliners that are fighting to keep our countrymen alive. One establishment attempting to do their part is Penshoppe: the local clothing brand is currently working to produce personal protective equipment to be distributed to healthcare workers!
On March 30, Penshoppe posted an announcement on their social media pages, stating that they “are working with the factories of our vendor partners to produce urgently needed [PPEs] for distribution amongst our brave healthcare workers.” No specific number of suits or magnitude of distribution has been disclosed by the brand. However, with Penshoppe being one of the biggest retail companies in the country having a large number of factory workers and resources behind them, we hope their efforts will be able to help a large number of our healthcare workers. On April 4, they posted an update on their protective suits, noting that production was ongoing and delivery would take place soon.
